New President at Rohde & Schwarz SIT GmbH: Winfried Wirth succeeds Henning Krieghoff
Effective September 1, 2010, Winfried Wirth is the new President of Rohde & Schwarz SIT GmbH in Berlin. Wirth joined Rohde & Schwarz in 1989. In September 2005, he became Head of the Radiocommunications Equipment Subdivision. In his new position he follows Henning Krieghoff, who left the company on August 31 for personal reasons. Krieghoff, who holds a master’s degree in mathematics, had been with Rohde & Schwarz since 1982. He was appointed President of Rohde & Schwarz SIT in 1995. During his 15 years as President he established the company as the German market leader and one of Europe’s leading vendors for high-security encryption solutions. He was also responsible for the successful integration of the Siemens and Bosch cryptology business fields into Rohde & Schwarz SIT.
