R&S®ARGUS is the standard software for measurements and evaluations in accordance with ITU recommendations. Suitable instruments and analysis tools are available for each of the ITU requirements. The R&S®ARGUS measurement modes reflect typical workflows and are designed to simplify daily measurement routine. Numerous statistics enable detailed investigation of measured values and compilation of concise, information reports.
The main objective of the R&S®ARGUS approach is to provide maximum support for the users. Guided measurements represent a unique feature. The user only needs to choose the frequency range and the desired measurement task. R&S®ARGUS then automatically selects the appropriate instrument and settings. Even complicated measurements involving signals with digital modulation can be performed securely and reliably - even by inexperienced users.
The modular software architecture enables custom adaptation of the system to different tasks. The various open interfaces also provide maximum flexibility and allow the system to be adapted to practically any customer requirement. Subsequent expansions involving additional instruments, measurement capabilities and even additional
monitoring stations, ranging from a single-location solution
to a countrywide monitoring network, can easily be
implemented.
R&S®ARGUS has been a market success for more than
20 years. During this time, the system has undergone continuous and systematic expansion, improvement and adaptation to meet changing customer requirements. Similar
development will continue in the future as well. Due to the
large number of supported instruments and the extremely
wide range of measurement capabilities, R&S®ARGUS is
also well suited for applications that go far beyond ITUcompliant monitoring.
