Ciphered digital voice for military applications is supported by providing a standard interface to external crypto devices. Customized features can easily be implemented in the software, allowing the R&S Series 4200 to be tailored to the specific needs of its users. The radio equipment of the R&S Series 4200 is designed to provide a high level of reliability and availability and excellent RF performance.
The R&S Series 4200 is a complete family of radio equipment. Its modular design, consisting of only three modules (PSU, RX and TX), allows the R&S Series 4200 radio to be used in split sites and transceiver sites. The reuse of modules and housing as well as system components in all variants makes the R&S Series 4200 radio a very cost-efficient solution for small applications as well as major systems. Maintenance is optimized, as no calibration or tuning is required when modules are replaced.
All radio equipment comes in the same 19”/2 housing, which can be integrated into a standard 19” system rack. All R&S Series 4200 radios come with an integrated AC/DC power supply. The radio can be AC-powered, DC-powered or both, where AC power is the primary source and DC power is used as the backup.
