Modular solution for RF switch and control tasks

Applications
The R&S®OSP can, for example, be used for the following tasks:

Simple to demanding switch and control tasks involving RF signals.

This includes measurement and control applications in the automotive, mobile radio, communications and military sector, such as the following:

  • Setup of calibration systems
  • Monitoring of test equipment, amplifiers, etc.
  • DUT monitoring and stimulation
  • Multiplexing of DUTs
  • Path switching to determine the characteristics of RF components

    • E.g. Multiplexing of DUTs

    To perform RF tests on multiple printed panels, it is necessary, for example, to multiplex the RF signals to the various DUTs. The figure below shows the basic setup of a test system for aligning and calibrating the transmit and receive paths of an RF module. The coaxial changeover relays of the R&S® OSP-B101 modules are used for multiplexing as well as for switching over between the transmit and the receive path.
