Overview TX Parametric Tests

Power measurements:

  • Power Meter (Wideband or frequency selective)
  • Code Domain Power (CDP)
  • Modulation analysis:

  • Error Vector Magnitude (EVM), Magnitude Error, Phase Error
  • Carrier Frequency Error
  • IQ Origin Offset
  • IQ Imbalance
  • Waveform Quality
  • Peak Code Domain Error Power (PCDEP)
  • Spectrum measurements (Inband):

  • Adjacent Channel Leakage power Ratio (ACLR)
  • Occupied Bandwidth (OBW)
  • Spectrum Emission Mask (SEM)

UL Generator

For sensitivity measurements on a WCDMA Node B the CMU300 supports all the Reference Measurement Channels (RMC) as defined in the specification (3GPP TS 25.141 FDD). By virtue of its own RF generator, the CMU300 provides:

  • Real time signal generation incl. measurement sequences up to PN (pseudo-random noise) 16 for continuous receiver measurements, providing easy implementation of search routines for the absolute radio sensitivity.
  • Support for the specified 2 Mb per second data rate (RMC 2048 kbps) makes it possible to test already for a data rate implemented for anticipated applications: Test today for the applications of tomorrow!
  • AWGN generator function and BER simulation

Special functions of WCDMA signaling mode

  • Synchronous TX parametric testing
  • BCH realtime analysis
  • Data analysis of downlink channels/expanded BER test capabilities
  • RACH testing incl. AICH analysis
  • HS-SCCH monitoring
  • HS-DSCH data rate and throughput measurement
  • HS-DPCCH uplink stimulation
  • HSDPA stimulate & check applications
