LTE protocol testing with SRVCC support presented at GSMA MWC 2012

At the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Rohde & Schwarz presented the verification of the handover of a VoLTE voice channel from LTE to WCDMA in line with the single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) standard using the R&S®CMW500 wideband radio communication tester. VoLTE provides voice services for LTE that are based on IP multimedia subsystems (IMS). The SRVCC standard specified by 3GPP describes how user equipment can perform the handover from the LTE packet switched (PS) bearer to a WCDMA circuit switched (CS) bearer during an active VoLTE voice connection.
