R&S®ZVA-K4 Frequency Conversion
The frequency conversion option allows versatile configurations of internal and external sources and the internal receivers. Two internal sources (with four-port instruments) and a large number of external sources (linked to the R&S®ZVA via a GPIB or LAN interface) can be controlled using different power levels, frequency offsets, sweep spans, and sweep directions. The R&S®ZVA can control all Rohde & Schwarz generators as well as all SCPII-compatible generators from other vendors.
This makes the R&S®ZVA an ideal choice for characterizing amplifiers and mixers.
The second internal source can be used as an LO for fast swept conversion loss measurements on mixers, or to deliver the second tone for fast intermodulation measurements on amplifiers and mixers.
Intermodulation measurements can be set up simply by making a few entries in a test port configuration table.
