Who are the target customers for the R&S ZVT8?
Typical R&S ZVT8 customers need more than four ports, measure active modules and require extremely short measurement times. Customers include manufacturers of LAN cables, LAN connectors, switches, couplers, splitters and modules for mobile radio.
Owing to the great flexibility of its hardware and software, the R&S ZVT8 is ideally suited for complex system solutions in production. The Direct Generator/Receiver Access option opens up numerous ways of looping in amplifiers and filters. This increases the generator level or improves harmonic suppression, which is necessary with measurement systems for measuring nonlinear parameters on amplifiers, electronic switches and antenna switching modules for mobile radio.
The R&S ZVT8 is the fastest multiport solution on the market and represents the optimum customer solution for time-critical applications. This is a good argument, for example, with semiconductor manufacturers that need to perform complex multiport measurements on the wafer in less than 100 ms. Since the wafer probe tips can be moved from one component to the next within 200 ms, the measurement time needs to adhere at least to this scale.
