Product Highlights

The R&S® ZVA generation of high-end network analyzers offers high measurement speed, maximum dynamic range and extremely high versatility and accuracy – ideal prerequisites for present and future measurement tasks. On top of this, the user benefits from an easy and intuitive operating concept. It combines the firmware, operating ease, and high measurement speed uniformly implemented in the R&S®ZVA, R&S®ZVB, and R&S®ZVT with exceptional RF characteristics, a wide scope of functions, and high flexibility. The R&S®ZVA series is thus an ideal choice for sophisticated measurements in the lab and in production – from filter measurements calling for maximum dynamic range to linear and nonlinear measurements on (power) amplifiers, mixers, as well as receivers, transceivers, etc.

The R&S® ZVB family is a new generation of vector network analyzers for universal measurements – also on multiports and balanced DUTs. The R&S®ZVB series of vector network analyzers covers the frequency ranges from 300 kHz to 4/8 GHz and from 10 MHz to 14/20 GHz. It has been designed for universal measurements on passive and active components. The R&S®ZVB series greatly simplifies vector network analysis especially for multiport measurements and measurements on balanced devices. Featuring comprehensive measurement functions, excellent specifications, high measurement and data transfer speeds and remote-control capability, the analyzers of the R&S®ZVB series are an ideal choice for both development and production applications. The compact versions of the 14 GHz and 20 GHz two-port models leave ample room for test setups in the lab, featuring a height of only 24 cm and a depth of 42 cm.

The R&S® ZVL vector network analyzers cover a frequency range from 9 kHz to 3 GHz/6 GHz. The cost-efficient, powerful, future-proof all-in-one solution in the compact class offers a portable network analyzers with optional spectrum analyzer in one unit. Yet, the instrument has full functionality and performance of a middle-class instrument. A variety of options are enhancing application range of the optional spectrum analyzer. There is application firmware for component and signal analysis e.g. noise figure and gain measurements, AM/FM/ϕM demodulation, spectrogram display, and analysis of TV signals. Furthermore there is application firmware for various digital communications standards such as WCDmA, WLAN, WiMAX, Bluetooth®.

The R&S® ZVT8/ZVT20 is the world‘s first 8/20 GHz network analyzer to offer up to eight/six test ports in a single unit. Each port is equipped with a reflectometer that consists of a VSWR bridge, a measurement receiver, and a reference receiver. Each pair of reflectometers is equipped with an independent generator. The R&S® ZVT8/ZVT20 thus features excellent network analyzer characteristics for two-port and multiport applications, irrespective of the number of test ports. It offers outstanding performance in terms of stability, reproducibility, accuracy, measurement time, output level, sensitivity, and dynamic range. The instrument‘s intelligent and userfriendly operating concept simplifies the handling of the large number of parameters involved in measuring coaxial or balanced multiports. With its comprehensive measurement capabilities, flexible test set configuration, and various interfaces for controlling the instrument as well as external components, the R&S® ZVT8/ZVT20 network analyzer is ideal for use in complex test systems.

The R&S® ZVA-Z110 converters from Rohde & Schwarz expand the R&S® ZVA24, R&S® ZVA40, and R&S® ZVT20 vector network analyzers by adding millimeter-wave measurement capability with maximum dynamic range from 75 GHz to 110 GHz (W band).
