Rohde & Schwarz at WiMAX Forum® Congress Asia
Escalating its vision of implementing WiMAX as the wireless broadband technology of choice, the WiMAX Forum® has launched a series of events to provide industry with a much needed focal point managed by its members. The first event, which will be held in Singapore from April 9 to 10, 2008, will offer a unique opportunity to meet, network and do business with the entire WiMAX value chain across Asia.
For analyzing MIMO signals, Rohde & Schwarz’s R&S® FSQ and R&S® FSG models enable detailed testing of the physical layer. Equipped with options for WiMAX and MIMO, the signal analyzers simultaneously process signals transmitted by the multiple antennas. Users in research and development can observe the performance of both the baseband and RF bands, In addition, the highly flexible analysis software ensures that engineers, developers and technicians can respond quickly to new developments of the standard.
Rohde & Schwarz has a variety of test solutions for WiMAX that will be presented during the congress. The first all-in-one solution for the production of WiMAX mobile stations, the R&S® CMW270, offers the capability to emulate a base station (signaling mode) and thus provides utmost flexibility and test depth. The high-end R&S® SMU200A RF signal generator as well as the R&S® AMU200A baseband generator and fading simulator support WiMAX as well as other technologies and combine everything that is required for 2x2 MIMO tests in only one instrument. The R&S® TS8970 radio conformance test system is a fully automated test system for transmitter and receiver tests and can certify WiMAX devices on the basis of validated test cases.
