The DECT Signaling Test Unit R&S PTW15 is designed as a universal test instrument that offers all measurement tools required for installation and maintenance of DECT-WLL networks and PABX systems at a highly competitive price.
Based on the R&S PSP7 Portable Industrial Controller, the new R&S PTW15 comes with a compact housing and is equipped with a built-in color TFT display. The unit can be easily controlled via the front panel keyboard, roll keys and soft keys. The optional PSP-B3 battery pack guarantees full portability and mobile operation; whereas the "comfort package" option includes ext. keyboard, mouse, Ethernet and SCSI adapter.
Already well-known from the R&S TS1220 is the operating system LynxOS (real-time UNIX) and the unique graphical user interface (MGR). The implemented DECT protocol stack, the PO / PCO-technique (point of observation / point of control and observation) as well as the simulation of portable radio termination (PT) and fixed radio termination (FT) make possible measurements comparable to those offered by the powerful R&S TS1220.
