Options: R&S SMATE-K40 - Digital Standard GSM / EDGE

GSM/EDGE signal can be generated in real-time, whereas the type of modulation can be changed from slot to slot. In addition 8 different power levels can be defined for the timeslots.

Three modes are available for the generation of the signal:

  • Unframed

    • Generation of a signal without slot and frame structure and power ramping, with symbol rate and filtering to GSM standard. MSK or 8PSK EDGE modulation can be selected

  • Framed (single)

    • Configuration of a signal via frame structure

  • Framed (double)

    • Configuration of simple multiframes scenarios by combining two frames. A repetition factor can be specified for each of the two frames

    All necessary burst types (e.g. Normal (full and half rate), EDGE, Synchronization, Access) are supported
