Key Facts
The IEEE 802.16 standard – also referred to as WiMAX – is of broad interest as a wireless connection for the last mile. The option supports release 2004, Cor1-2005 and 802.16e-2005, of this system, including channel coding. The solution offers various uplink and downlink duplex capabilities, including both FDD and TDD.
Selected features are:
- Full RS/CC, CC and CTC channel coding
- FCH, DL-MAP and UL-MAP either automatic or user
- Optional generic MAC headers and CRC for each burst
- Sequence length of up to 511 frames
- Pre-defined frames for receiver tests
