R&S®SMIQ-B60 Arbitrary Waveform Generator incl. R&S WinIQSIM™
The option SMIQB60 is an internal 2-channel arbitrary waveform generator (ARB) based on the Modulation Coder SMIQB20. Waveforms can be calculated and transmitted with the external PC software program WinIQSIM™ and stored in the non-volatile memory of the SMIQ. Once stored, waveforms can be recalled by the SMIQ without using WinIQSIM™. The SMIQB60 can provide arbitrary I/Q signals to drive the SMIQ's I/Q modulator. This is the primary purpose of the option SMIQB60, although the I/Q signals are also available at the SMIQ's I and Q outputs. Due to the internal interpolation filter, oversampling already occurs. So the amount of samples for a defined signal quality that have to be stored in the memory is smaller than with a conventional arbitrary waveform generator.
